Omakase 33

Omakase 33 in New York is an absolute gem and, honestly, one of the best value omakase experiences I’ve come across. Their $48 lunch omakase feels almost unreal for what you get: two beautifully prepared appetizers, eight perfectly executed nigiri, a hand roll, and a comforting aged miso soup - all thoughtfully paced and genuinely delicious. Every bite felt intentional, fresh, and balanced, proving that great sushi doesn’t have to come with an eye-watering price tag. The chef was warm and approachable, adding a personal touch that made the experience even more enjoyable. The space itself is calm and intimate; while it wasn’t busy when I visited, I’d still recommend booking ahead because this is the kind of place people will (and should) talk about. Simple, honest, and exceptionally good - this is one of those rare spots you want to keep to yourself, but can’t help recommending with your whole heart.

Very nice experience. The chef was very friendly and attentive. The food was unlike any nigiri we've ever had. The service was solid from beginning to end. I was debating doing a second reservation before leaving the city but I will postpone it until our next visit. Highly recommend.

It’s not just dinner, it’s an experience — authentic, intimate, and unforgettable. A true taste of Japan right here in the city.
